At Holmcroft our indoor circular pool is larger then the average canine hydrotherapy pool measuring 6m in diameter and is 1.2 meters deep. This means even the largest breed of dog can benefit from treatment and swim comfortably.Our pool is sunken so entry to the pool is via a gradual sloping ramp fitted with non-slip mats this benefits your pet by being as stress free as possible.
We have a purpose built resting area big enough for small and large breeds to rest in between swims .The pool is surrounded by a low level wall so you can watch your dog swimming without getting wet! Our pool has been fitted with a powerful adjustable jet which can be used for resistance swimming or massage .The water is heated between 27C and 30C and has a continuous filtration and skimming system.
We chose to use Bromine in our pool as it works better then chlorine in warmer water and keeps killing bacteria for longer, the chemical level is checked and logged three times a day, this is in keeping with the CHA.(canine hydrotherapy association) regulations.
Buoyancy Aids
We always use either a ruff wear flotation jacket or a ruff wear water harness whilst your pet is in the pool for their safety.
Drying facilities We have two drying rooms each fitted with a powerful blaster and hand dryer (for smaller breeds)
Treatment room At Holmcroft we have tried to make it as convenient as possible for you and your pet to have of treatments such as Physiotherapy, Canine massage and Hydrotherapy all under one roof! We have a have a separate treatment room where we can make treatments available for your pet.
In-care patient unit Indoor walk in kennel facility where 24hr monitoring and treatments can be provided. The in-care patient unit is fitting with dap diffusers to help to comfort your pet during there recovery and stay with us. The in-care patient unit can be for long of short term stays.
